Move a non-running car without a tow truck
If your car won't start, you can still move it yourself. The Club Sport Trailers lowering trailer has a recovery winch with a remote, so one person can load a non-running car onto the deck. Rent it from Carmichael, near Sacramento, for $170/day.

How loading works
Lower the deck to the ground and attach the winch. Then use the remote to pull the car on while you steer. The 3° ramp angle means a low or flat-tired car won't hang up on a steep ramp. Strap the tires down with the 4 included tire straps, raise the deck and go. We walk you through all of it at pickup.
Rates
$170/day. 3+ days is 10% off ($153/day). 5+ days is 15% off ($144.50/day). $500 deposit.
What you need
- A 2 5/16" hitch ball
- A tow vehicle rated for the trailer plus the car you're moving
- Driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Automobiles only
